Billy is wearing a navy blue tracksuit, with a
hooded top which has a broad yellow band on the front. Taeboqueen
is to Billy's right(our left)and is wearing royal blue leggings
with a white stripe. Her top is v-neck and multi coloured stripes.
Shellie is wearing a mustardy brown hipster style "short" shorts
and crop top, I think it looks to be trimmed with red.
The routine and warm up start with bopping from
one foot to the other. back to a center horse stance, and the
neck rolls begin... Rolls, left to right, forward and backward.
Shoulder hunches, together and then singles. Next - Billy puts
his hands up, and it looks like he is about to do a rap!!LOL
or a sort of "saturday night fever" hand jive. The
Left hand gos to right shoulder, right hand to left shoulder,
and so on. BUT! Very fast.
Immediatly into stretch..reaching to left side
for a count of 8. Then right for 8, then quickly alternating
left and right! Next he steps side to side using arms like a
chest press. He goes down to left side but proceeds to do a front
knee raise. Then he goes into centre stance, and cross jabs -
through 5 sets. Billy shouts "Don't bounce". WALK
IT OUT! Still in horse stance, he sweeps his hands over his head
and back down doing a squat for 1 set. Then he turns to the side,
left knee bent, right leg stretches behind, stretch left hand
UP to the ceiling, then into front thigh stretch. Then - OH!
MY! Into FIVE Press ups! what??? At this point I am thrilled
it is differant, BUT I cannot do press ups/push ups on my toes--I
can manage them on my knees-so! Modify! Next - sit down - legs
wide and stretch toe to toe, form triangle with hands and lean
into it, chin up.. Do this for 2 sets. Slide legs in, right foot
to left knee, stretch. Ditto other leg. End of warm up.
Stand up! Starts on left jab, with a twist motion
to hips and legs. Some people are actually working on the free
standing bags. Incedentally! The girl who wore Khaki in the 1st
one we had, is in this also wearing a top the same as Taeboqueen,
and black with white stripe legging. Into corner jabs, then straight
into double speedbag to the left(x4 sets). Then staying facing
the left side, he goes onto toe to heel move, he then adds cross
punches to centre and cross jabs, turns to right side and repeats
toe to heel and then jabs with twists. (At this point Billy tells
us we have to twist to absorb the shock away from the body!?)
Onto corner jabs and into double speedbag to right side.
Okay! Tricky to describe: - Left leg and right
arm forward, then right leg, left arm follows in a wide stance!(like
in Advanced Studio) in a count of 1,2,3,4. New move to me - On
your toes, and left jab, right jab, clap,clap,clap; slowly and
then regular speed. He turns to the left and does "side
knee raises" in double time, using a hand pad to show how
the hand should strike the opposite knee as it rises. Tells us
to use those abs! Repeats the jab, jab, clap, clap, clap routine
and so on. Billy is now walking around room with hand pad on,
holding it up periodically for people to Hit.
Into the horse stance and on to uppercuts. Billy
is showing the move to a guy in a baggy yellow T-shirt. Into
double time uppercuts. Next - jumping jacks. He then adds a left
jab and right jab, so it becomes: Jumping jack, right jab, jumping
jack, left jab and so on. Billy shows how to modify if you don't
want to/cannot jump. Next - arms bent at elbows, arms move upwards
and out to shoulder height, back down and stretch above head.
At the same time, right Leg is moving heel and outward, heel
and outward. Billy states "Don't touch the Floor" Phew!
I think this move is centred on Jasmine in the 8 minute Tape.
Next comes the grapevine with knee raise. Billy now does a little "ditty"-
step, step step-jab, jab, jab, then he turns around and repeats
it.
Into cooldown - after cool down, Billy says:- "Okay!
I want to cover something real fast! You've got the instructional
tape. I want to help you with your punches!" He then says- "Keep
your hands here! What's stopping your arm from going any further?" They
all shout-"Shoulders!" He Replies:-"That means
If your arms go directly in front of you, you're gonna injure
your shoulders, so always cross your centre line to take the
shock off your shoulders and body,and TWIST, it will slim you
and your waist." There follows a pep talk on will and spirit.
All in all it is a decent workout! Lots of energy
and everyone is so happy and pumped up on it - Taeboqueen is
grinning away on it-- On the 1st tape we have - she is quite
solemn...Mind you! Hasn't she REALLY trimmed up? and Shellie!
she is looking so Muscular
