This tape is a nice addition to your collection for several reasons. It comes in very handy when you really are short on time. Many people use it immediately after one of the basic tapes to get a little extra "oomph" to their workout. The 8-minute is also very helpful when you’re doing a 21-Day Challenge and you need a "rest" day but you don’t want to break the challenge. Overall, the pace of the 8-minute is comparable to an advanced tape things move pretty quickly.
There is very little warm-up with this tape a few neck rolls, side-to-side head turns, and a little bit of arm/shoulder stretching probably less than a minute. You start with punching at a good pace, including hooks and uppercuts. Then 3 sets of knee raises, followed by 2 sets of jumping jacks + punch. Time for the only kicking in the tape 3 sets of knee raise + side kick, very fast. Walk it out for a moment, then assume a good horse stance and do some straight punching, slow then double time. Now do double speedbag, a few side-to-side uppercuts, and repeat the speedbag on the other side. You follow this with 3 fast sets of side knee raise/crunch (bringing the arm down as you lift the knee to work the abs). Now the final set of moves the fly (slow, then fast) transitioning into a cross-the-body punch. Repeat on the other side. The cooldown is much longer than the warm-up and is basically the same one that you get in the Studio Basic tape.
Shellie, Irene, Debi, Jasmine, and Michelle are in this tape, although Shellie looks VERY different than she does now. The music is just generic workout music nothing special.
