I want to tell you all a little about myself. I
am a 37 y/o married mother of 2 teenage daughters. I have had
MS my entire adult life but wasn't diagnosed until age 32. I
was so sick that I couldn't even get out of bed for about 8 months.
One day I got up and looked in the mirror and couldn't believe
what I saw. I was HUGE, pasty and sick looking. I knew I had
to either chose to live or die and chose to live.
When I was able to do errands I would park a little farther
away from the door and walk. I also saw a dietician and went
on a low fat, low calorie diet. I had to make this a life
long change not just for the time being. I started losing
weight very quickly and learned that also puts stress on
a persons body which caused my MS to flare so I took it slow
and steady.
Eventually, I started walking on the treadmill. I savor
every step and rejoice in the good days and try to except
the bad. I eventually found TAE BO and thank God everyday
for Billy and his crew. I now do the Advanced Get Ripped
series and love every second of it. (2 years ago my doctors
told me to prepare to go blind and end up full time in a
wheelchair) I was in a scooter full time then and was sent
to Salt Lake City to check into a stem cell transplant which
we opted not to do.
Anyway, by no means am I BUFFED out but that is my goal.
I also had to retire from my dream nursing job but have found
another passion as a personal fitness trainer and should
be finished getting my license shortly. I am not going to
let life stop me cause I am going for it big time!!!
It will be SO nice to meet everyone in LA. I do have one
little problem though. "Major Culture Shock"!!!
I am a small town girl from Montana and am NOT used to big
cities. But I figure everything will go smoothly.
BTW I have lost between 180-190 lbs and feel GREAT with
lots more energy. Thank you ALL for your wonderful support!!
What a great group of people!!
