I know that you probably receive hundreds of emails a day from
dedicated TaeBo-ers, but I thought I would add mine to the stack.
I started doing Tae-Bo in 1999. I got on auto-delivery for the
Advanced Tapes and did Basic every morning (the same one!), and
Advanced every night after work and on the weekends). I lost
50 pounds between March and September of that
year. I DID keep the weight off for a good
two-three years until it started creeping back
on again (life got in the way and I stopped
exercising).
In March of this year, I started doing Tae-Bo
again (twice a day) and have so far lost 33
pounds. I now have a huge library of Basic
and Advanced Tapes, including the "latest" Tae-Bo
Totals (I have over 40 tapes all together),
and I have them in rotation (every morning
I pick the next Basic from the pile and every
evening I pick the next Advanced). This has
kept me and my body from getting bored with
the same tape every day. People at work ask
me (daily) what I have been doing because they
can see the changes in me.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tae-Bo. Not only does it
make me feel better physically, but I also
feel stronger mentally. I love that I can laugh
during the tapes when Billy miscues something,
or sings the wrong words to the songs. I love
that I can laugh at myself or yell at the TV
when Billy is pleading for just one more set!
I love that there are real people getting hot
and tired and grimacing in pain. I love that
there are real people in real clothes who can
be uncoordinated or weak, but no less motivated.
Even though I still have weight to lose, I
consider myself to be more fit than anyone
else I know (short of the marathon-runners
I work with), and I also feel that I am a two-time
success story!
I am so excited about the new releases set
for October, and I would love to take part
in motivating others to join the Tae-Bo phenomenon.
I would also (ultimately) be interested in
getting certified to be an instructor.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read
my comments (if, indeed, it is actually you).
Sincerely,
Stacy
P.S. - I should note that I sent this letter
[to Shellie Blanks and the infomercial people]
on 8/6. As of this past weekend, I have now
lost 40 pounds! I have gone from a size 20-22
to a 14. I know that I am at the stage that
some people would consider their "before" picture,
but I am about 1/2 way to where I want to be,
and I am 200% more confident than I was, and
I feel fabulous - inside and out!
